Privacy policy
Plain English, because this site does very little with your information. Here is exactly what it does.
The short version
If you fill in our project form or request a property review, we use what you send to reply about your project. The property checker is provided by Plan & Price and handles the information described below. We don't sell or rent your information.
What we collect
The project inquiry form collects what you enter, plus a few details about how you reached it:
- About youYour name, email address and, if you choose to give it, a phone number.
- About the projectThe project type, the town the house is in, your timeline and your message.
- Planning toolsIf you used a planning tool on this site and attached its summary to the form, that summary.
- The pageWhich page of this site the form was sent from, so we know what you were reading.
- How you found usYour answer to "How did you hear about us?", if you pick one. It's optional.
- Where your visit startedThe name of the website that sent you here (such as google.com, not the full address), any campaign labels in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) and the first page you opened on this site. Your browser holds these in its session storage, which clears when you close the tab. They reach us only if you send the form.
Browsing the site doesn't require you to give us anything. If you call or email us instead, we keep what you tell us the same way.
The Plan & Price property checker
Our property checker is embedded from Plan & Price. You can explore without entering your name, email address or phone number. Plan & Price processes the address search using public MassGIS services. The map uses public parcel records and aerial imagery.
When you choose to attach a property summary, the checker passes that summary to the Penney inquiry form on this page. Your name, email, phone and message are entered in Penney's form and sent to Penney's project system. They are not sent to Plan & Price as a sales inquiry.
Supported campaign labels in a link, such as a campaign name or ad ID, can accompany a submitted request. Plan & Price and the map and hosting providers handle the technical requests needed to run the property lookup. Those services may process technical information, such as an IP address, to deliver the tool and protect it from abuse.
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry, set up a walkthrough if the project is a fit, and keep a record of the conversation if you become a client. How you found us, and campaign labels, tell us which searches, links and referrals bring in projects. Submitting a request does not add you to a mailing list.
Where it's kept
The project inquiry form sends your inquiry into our internal project system, where it becomes a follow-up for our client intake coordinator. That system runs on a hosted database service. Property-review requests from this website use that same Penney intake system.
The website itself is hosted by a web hosting provider. Like any web server, it handles standard technical data such as IP addresses and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. The fonts on this site are served from the site itself, not from a third party.
Analytics, cookies and ads
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, the visitor statistics built into our web host, to see which pages people read and which sites send them here. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you. Each page view records the page, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and type of device, and a rough location (country, region and city). Visitors are told apart only by a code made from the request, which is thrown away after 24 hours. We see totals, not people.
This site has no Google Analytics, no Facebook or other advertising pixels, and sets no tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this page first.
The inquiry form and the property checker can keep campaign labels and where your visit started with a submitted inquiry, as described above. These come from the link you visited and your browser's session storage; they do not need an advertising pixel or a tracking cookie.
Links to Google, such as our reviews, take you to Google's own site, where Google's privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can ask what we have from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an inquiry that didn't turn into a project. Call us at (978) 854-5383 (Mon–Fri · 7:00 am – 5:00 pm). Records that belong to a signed contract may need to be kept for legal and tax reasons.
This site isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
